About Standard Shredding Solutions
Standard Shredding Solutions is a part of the Standard Group organisation, which was founded in 1894. The company, originally trading as “The Standard Engineering Company” out of Leicester, was predominantly involved in the construction and distribution of shoe making and shoe repairing machinery.
In the early 1970’s Standard also became involved in the manufacture of the Volumatic series of industrial shredders and disintegrators. By the turn of the 21st Century Standard Engineering Ltd had also secured the rights to market and sell the range of disintegration machinery they had been building for the past few decades.
The earlier 100 & 200 machines have been improved upon and are now supplied as the updated Model 110 and 200. Both of these models are constructed to the rigorous standards expected in today’s high security destruction market.
As well as constructing, supplying and servicing the industrial shredding side of the business, Standard have moved into the recycling industry in recent years, such as supplying machinery used to produce the paper media used in the creation of fuel briquettes. Standard Engineering are actively seeking further partners in the recycling fields for future expansion and co-operation.
We maintain a demonstration facility within our premises in Kettering to support our sales efforts, where prospective customers are invited to try out the Model 200 or Model 110 Disintegrator, attached to the FX-2 extraction system.
